Program Qualifications

1. Students will have a high level of theoretical and practical knowledge in English language and be able to express their ideas in written and oral form.
2. Students will  have the ability to think analytically and express themselves imaginatively.
3. Students will learn to serve society by passing on knowledge and experience in schools, cultural institutions, or elsewhere.
4. Students will have up-to-date knowledge in literary terminology, and the periods, movements and genres in English literature.
5. Students will have an ability to discuss culture with a knowledge of related disciplines and subjects like class, gender and ethnicity.
6. Students will be able to conduct research in literature and culture through the use of information technologies. They will be informed in research techniques, methods and ethical issues.
7. Students will be able to assess other literatures than English.
8. Students will have a background in literary theory and will be able to analyze literary and cultural texts.
